The Rising Sun Dive Centre’s Northern base located in the prestigious 5* Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort at the Northern tip of Zanzibar. The Dive Centre is open to guests of the hotel as well as other visitors to Nungwi and the surrounding areas.

The diving around the Northern tip of Zanzibar is nothing short of amazing. The waters around Nungwi are teaming with eels, large shoals of tropical reef fish, green turtles and for the expert divers the opportunity to spot numerous varieties of nudibranchs. We offer local dives around 15 minutes by boat, dives on Tumbatu island and also an exceptional trip to Mnemba island (a marine conservation area) which boasts an amazing array of underwater marine life including the opportunity to swim with dolphins during the surface interval! Mnemba has a wide range of dive sites and snorkeling locations making it a stunning diving location for experts and beginners alike. Due to the fact that the Mnemba Atoll is sheltered from winds and currents it is usual to have visibility of between 15 – 30 m. There is also the possibility of sighting sharks, whales and whale sharks!
